Everyone has an outlet….or everyone at least should have one.
Mine is obviously food. It’s my heritage. “Eat something!” is often
the cure to most common ailments ranging from a simple headache to
a bad case of the flu to a devastating layoff.
And it works…kinda.
When it doesn’t, people do have other options, such as CBD oil from https://blessedcbd.co.uk.
Blessed CBD is something a friend of mine swears by, so I thought I would mention it.
Anyway, when I’m hungry and don’t realize it, my eyes grow black, my ships sink
and the world seems cold, unfriendly and uncooperative.
Miraculously (sp?) after lunch,
*TADAAAAAA!*
I’m a super-hero! Nothing can stand in my way.
So, I’m sitting here, munching on one of my favourite sandwhiches in the world from one fo the cutest li’l Italian delis in the world, That’s Amore on Holly Street in Pasadena.
The owners are an adorable Armenian couple, who by some coincidence turned out to
be distant friends/relatives of my parents.
Small world.
Let me tell you about the sandwhich. It’s called the Vinnie Barberino, but I’d call it
Ambrosia, b/c it really tastes like food of the gods:
Fresh crusty French bread
Marinated artichokes
Sweet sundried tomatoes
Balsamic, olive oil
and some secret concoction the owners simply call “garlic pesto.”
The combination is heavenly. The only thing that would improve this
sandwhich would be some fresh sweet basil, but I won’t say anything
to insult the chefs.
If you’re in the area, stop by and tell them Colette sent you. You’ll get
the royal treatment, even if you forget my name.
